FIELD NOTES

The Shi wears GMK's Modern Materials Stone against a gray anodized frame, with a single burnt-sienna Enter as the only interruption. Flip it over and the black stainless backplate keeps its machine marks — a finish most builders polish away, kept here as the record of the cut. A copper guardian lion sits inlaid in the plate; the maker's shi script is engraved into the front lip.
